Privacy & Cookies.

How we handle your data, your choices, and how to change your cookie settings.

Who we are

MOTH (“we”, “us”) curates small, design-led weekend escapes. This notice explains how we handle your personal data when you visit our website, apply or register your interest, and how you can exercise your rights.

Data we collect

  • Website usage: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type.
  • Form submissions: the details you give us on Apply or Register (e.g. name, email, motivations, links you share).
  • Communications: messages you send us by email or socials.
  • Cookies: small files to remember preferences and (if you allow) measure traffic.

How we use your data

  • To review applications and manage the waitlist.
  • To respond to enquiries and keep you updated about relevant weekends.
  • To understand site performance (analytics, if you consent).
  • To keep the site secure (security cookies).

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

  • Consent: analytics cookies (only after you accept).
  • Legitimate interests: site security, preventing abuse, functionality.
  • Contract: processing applications or registrations you submit.

Cookies & analytics

We use a cookie prompt to ask for consent before enabling analytics. If you reject, analytics stays off. If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 (IP anonymised) to understand what’s working.

Retention

We keep form submissions for as long as they’re relevant to reviewing and planning weekends. Usage data is retained only as long as needed for improvement. You can ask us to delete your data anytime.

Sharing

We don’t sell your data. We use a few processors (hosting, analytics if enabled) who act on our instructions and provide safeguards.

Transfers

Some services may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

Your rights

  • Access your data.
  • Request correction, deletion, or restriction.
  • Object to processing in some cases.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics (use the button above).
  • Complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
